On Thursday, October 18th the third annual Pennsylvania Night to Live will take place: a coordination of vigils at schools across the commonwealth to honor and remember youth who have completed suicide related to bullying and school violence.
The Pennsylvania Student Equality Coalition (PSEC) has sponsored this on-campus action to promote support and compassion for all.
This statewide event connects our school communities in solidarity. Our organizations have many individualized ways of rallying around “Spirit Day” and “Ally Week” – so we have planned to unite through pausing to reflect on the tragic losses that surround us. While October 18th may not be the exact day for your Night to Live event, it marks the two week period where the vigils take place – when it can be scheduled for your community.
