Same Sex Marriage Ban Amendment Reintroduced

On May 2nd, 2011, PA Rep. Daryl Metcalfe (R-Cranberry) reintroduced his bill to ammend the Pennsylvania constitution to ban same sex marriage. We must not let bigotry be made part of our Commonwealth!

You can see the maps below for how PA State Representatives voted last time the constitutional ban on same sex marriage was put to a vote. It passed the PA House 136 – 61 in 2006, but died in the PA Senate. In order for our Pennsylvania constitution to be amended, it must be passed in both the PA House and the PA Senate for two consecutive terms, and then put forward to a statewide referendum.
